Equivalence of Question Papers
PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) was established by NCERT, New Delhi in February 2023 under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It functions as a national regulator to set standards for student assessment and evaluation and to ensure equivalence across various school boards in the country.
I attended a National Level Workshop on “Equivalence of Question Papers for Grades 10 and 12” as an English Subject Expert, representing the Maharashtra State Board, at PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, held from 27 to 28 January 2024. Subject experts from eight State Boards: Maharashtra, Punjab, Meghalaya, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland, and Gujarat participated in the workshop. The primary objective of the workshop was to bring uniformity and equivalence in assessment practices among all State Boards.
I am glad to have been a part of this revolutionary assessment reform process under NEP 2020, representing the Maharashtra State Board at the national level. I express my sincere gratitude to the SSC Maharashtra State Board and the IES Management for their support and trust. I assure that I will give my best contribution to the State Board and, most importantly, to my school.
