Sharing my experience as a Content Developer and State Level Master Trainer of RAA Spoken English MOOC.

What is MOOC? (Massive Open Online Courses)
* MOOCs are free online courses available for anyone to enroll.
* MOOCs offer self-paced study, to complete coursework and take tests on their schedule.
* MOOCs provide an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, advance your career and deliver quality educational experiences at scale.
* There are many organizations which provide courses like edX, Furure Learn, etc

Features of the RAA Spoken English MOOC:
* Maharashtra is a pioneer of such programme.
* A scientific learning programme.
* Blended model (online & off-line) for Teachers Professional Development.
* Useful for teaching-learning process in the classroom.
* Face to face help will be provided by MOOC coordinators, if required.
* Teachers can learn as per their leisure time without leaving school & family.
* Saves expenses.
* Prototype and mini-pilot done successfully in 6 districts.
* Now scale up to 45,000 teachers through 900 MOOC Coordinators

Stages of RAA, Spoken English MOOC
Step-1: MOOC Content Development Workshop (28 to 30^th June, 2018)

       Outcomes of workshop:

*Discussion on Spoken English programme.

*The structure of the course was divided into three phases.

*Framed Modules and its content phase wise.

*Designed the Interface of the course.

*Framed key questions and video script.

*Certification for participants.

Step-2: MOOC Content Development Workshop (11 to 15^th December, 2018)

Outcomes of workshop:

*Fierce discussions - Rethinking on the Modules and its contents.

*Framed Questions for Quiz.

*The workshop was full with constructive and innovative ideas.

Step-3: MOOC State Level Trainers Training (23 to 27^th July, 2019)

       Outcomes of workshop:

*Consumed course and suggested corrections.(Try Out)

*Discussion on quiz questions and their options.

*Checked user interface and discussed about bugs with technical team.

MOOC Try Run

·                 Motivation and guidance by RAA, Aurangabad dignitaries: Dr. Subhash Kamble (Director), Dr. Ujjwal Karawande (HoD- English), Dr. Pramod Kumawat (Tejas Project Head).

·         Dr. Subhash Kamble (Director) appreciated every brain who was a part of the MOOC. He was satisfied with the success of the programme. It is the unique kind of work culture RAA, Aurangabad has its unique work culture, you are always appreciated and motivated for your efforts and contribution.

·                 MOOC Coordinators (trainees) were brilliant and awesome. Their enthusiasm, zeal for learning, understanding and maturity was impressive. It was a wonderful experience to train them about MOOC.

·                  The support of LFE Team (Leadership for Equity)- Ms. Vinu Saini and Mr. Shashwat Khemani during training was fantastic. They conducted Try Run every evening, in post training meets. They analyzed day-to-day data about training. It was a professional experience. 

Appreciation as a Facilitator

This Programme is a vision of RAA, Aurangabad officials and their will power. This is a journey of endurance, of passion which taught us to overcome obstacles and to stay focused on our goal. It is receiving a great success all over Maharashtra.
